Measure the room in the places that actually change the wallpaper order.
Wall width, ceiling height, soffits, windows, and doors all matter more than a single broad room estimate.
Wall widthMeasure across the wall, not the full room perimeter, when one wall is the feature wall.
Ceiling heightCheck left, center, and right. Use the shortest usable line if the ceiling drifts.
DoorsDeduct full-height openings, but keep trim room around casings.
WindowsDeduct large windows. Shallow windows can still consume offcut-friendly strips.
CornersAdd a little breathing room if the paper will wrap around outside corners.
